A real piece of history, this very special Limited Edition Gold Medal commemorates Pope Benedict XVI's first visit to Lourdes, as Pope in this Jubilee year of 2008.
This enamled gold medal has a two tier bevelled edge, a picture of Pope Benedict XVI on the front and the following wording on the reverse:
"BENOIT XVI A LOURDES SEPTEMBRE 2008 - 150e ANNIVERSAIRE DES APPARITIONS - 1858-2008"
Translated this means:
"BENOIT XVI IN LOURDES SEPTEMBER 2008 - 150th ANNIVERSARY OF THE APPARITIONS - 1858-2008"
